Echo Logic Expertise and Process

Our Expertise

Echo Logic – Interior Acoustics, Redefined for the Home

At Echo Logic, we believe that a beautiful home should sound as good as it looks. Drawing on years of experience in high-end commercial fitouts, we bring advanced acoustic solutions—once reserved for boardrooms, showrooms and creative studios—into the world of luxury residential design.

Using premium Autex Acoustic products, we design and deliver elegant, functional acoustic treatments tailored to the modern home. From open-plan living areas and home theatres to private offices and apartment developments, our projects enhance privacy, reduce echo, and create a calm, refined atmosphere.

The Echo Logic Difference

Unlike traditional acoustic consultants, we speak the language of both design and construction. With a background in joinery and a portfolio that includes global brands like Google, Facebook, Rolex, and Spotify, we understand how to seamlessly integrate acoustic performance into beautiful, bespoke interiors.

A New Standard in Residential Living

We’re not just improving sound—we’re elevating the residential experience. Echo Logic partners with architects, interior designers, and upmarket builders to educate and inspire clients on what’s possible when acoustic design becomes part of the early conversation—not an afterthought.

This is a new category of living: where silence, privacy and comfort are designed in from day one.

Acoustic Comfort Meets Architectural Elegance

To transform the acoustic experience of a private home theatre, we lined the interior walls with Autex Acoustic products in the striking Yakisugi Black timber grain finish. This choice wasn't just about aesthetics—though the rich, charred timber look made an immediate visual impact. It was about function: managing sound reverberation and reducing noise transfer between rooms to deliver an immersive, high-performance audio environment.

The result? A space where every whisper, soundtrack, and surround effect is heard as intended—without echo, without disruption, and without compromising on design.

Whether it’s a media room, open-plan living area, or entire residence, we help homeowners reclaim control over sound—beautifully.

Why Painted Walls Don’t Work in a Home Theatre

While painted plasterboard or rendered walls are common in residential builds, they’re one of the worst choices for a home theatre. These hard, reflective surfaces bounce sound around the room, causing excessive echo, reverberation, and a general lack of audio clarity.

In a theatre environment, this means:
– Dialogue becomes muffled or difficult to understand
– Surround sound loses its directional effect
– Bass tones become boomy or overwhelming
– Volume needs to be turned up just to hear clearly, leading to ear fatigue

In short, painted walls were never designed with sound in mind.

By replacing these surfaces with acoustic panelling, we absorb excess sound energy and stop it from bouncing around. The result is a controlled, immersive audio experience where every note and nuance is delivered with precision—just like the director intended.

This finish is one of Autex's most stunning timber grains. It has to be seen to be fully appreciated.

Gold Coast Project

Our client's home in Mermaid Waters is typical of many Gold Coast homes. Large living spaces with many hard surfaces creating noise echo and reverberation making the living areas a noise amplification zone. We installed Autex Frontier Raft timber beams to the ceiling immediately reducing the noise. Dinner parties now have conversations that can be heard.

Sydney Project

The main wall in this lounge had Autex Verve Pillar in custom walnut added to limit television sound reverberation and conversation bounce.

Sydney Project

The clients of this bedroom wanted a stylish wall that also kept noise travel to a minimum. The team at Autex manufactured these panels with a timber look and made the individual pieces of 'timber' each have their own unique grain with a V groove around each piece.

Gold Coast Project

V Groove panels in Gherkin green were used to manage noise in this TV room while creating warmth in this northern Gold Coast residence.
